How to cancel Disney+ (2026)

Verified steps for web and app, the refund policy, the trap to avoid, and a free script that gets you through.

Where to cancel (website)

Log in at DisneyPlus.com in a browser > Account > [your subscription] > Cancel Subscription. It takes effect at the end of the current term.

If you subscribed in an app

Cancel through the same billing channel you signed up with. Apple: Settings > [name] > Subscriptions > Disney+ > Cancel. Google Play: Play Store > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Disney+ > Cancel. Same for Roku, Amazon, or Verizon if billed there.

Refund policy

No pro-rated refunds, including for annual subscribers. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid term (refund rules can vary by state and billing platform).

Watch out

The #1 trap: You must cancel through the exact billing channel you used at signup. Cancelling on Disney+ does nothing if a third party bills you, and deleting the app doesn't cancel.

Their retention trick

When you start cancelling, Disney+ generates a personalized 'Stay and Save' offer (often around $5/mo off for 6 months, or a cheaper ad-supported bundle) within seconds.
