How to cancel Netflix (2026)

Verified steps for web and app, the refund policy, the trap to avoid, and a free script that gets you through.

Where to cancel (website)

Sign in at netflix.com, go to Account > Manage membership > Cancel (or go straight to netflix.com/cancelplan), then Finish Cancellation.

If you subscribed in an app

If you were billed through Apple: iPhone Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > Netflix > Cancel. Through Google Play: Play Store > profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Netflix > Cancel. Deleting the app does NOT cancel.

Refund policy

No refunds for partial months. Your access continues to the end of the current billing cycle, then billing stops.

Watch out

The #1 trap: Cancelling does not refund the current month, and signing out or deleting the app does not cancel it. If you just renewed, you keep access until period end but get nothing back.

Their retention trick

Netflix offers no cancellation discount. Instead it pushes the 'Pause membership' option to keep your profile and history so you come back.
